Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

If you're looking for a magical Halloween experience that's fun for the whole family, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom is a must! This festive event features Halloween-themed parades, fireworks, character meet-and-greets, trick-or-treating, and the chance to wear your best costumes while enjoying Disney's magical atmosphere. Perfect for little ones and those who prefer a "not-so-scary" Halloween! While tickets for this season may be sold out (they go fast every year!), there's always next season, so mark your calendars and plan early.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando is the ultimate terrifying experience for thrill-seekers! From elaborately themed haunted houses to scare zones filled with the creepiest creatures, this event is known for delivering scares that aren't for the faint of heart. While I haven't been brave enough to attend myself (too scary for me!), it's a must-visit for anyone who loves a good adrenaline rush and isn't afraid of the dark. For those like me, you can still see the decorations during the day and visit the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute store! HHN runs select nights until Nov 3rd; a special ticket is required.

SeaWorld Orlando's Spooktacular

SeaWorld Orlando's Spooktacular is a fantastic choice for those who love marine life and family-friendly Halloween fun. Included with your admission, this daytime event offers trick-or-treating, dance parties, and festive decorations around the park. It's perfect for young children and families who want to enjoy a fun-filled Halloween without the scares. Dress up in your favorite costumes and explore the sea-themed Halloween adventures! This runs until Nov 3rd on select days!

Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando transforms into a terrifying playground with Howl-O-Scream when the sun goes down. This event brings haunted houses, scare zones, and spooky shows that will keep your heart racing. Like Halloween Horror Nights, this one’s a bit too intense for me, but if you're a fan of all things horror, it’s worth checking out. Just be ready for some severe frights! This runs select nights until Nov 2nd and requires an additional ticket.

SEALIFE Orlando’s Pirates of the Haunted Seas

Ahoy, mateys! Head over to SEALIFE Orlando this Halloween for a swashbuckling adventure with Pirates of the Haunted Seas. Join Captain Sebastian and his crew as they embark on a spooky underwater quest. You can meet Captain Sebastian on weekends. What's the best part? It’s included in your admission! This event is perfect for little pirates and adventurers who want a Halloween experience that’s more thrilling than scary. This event runs until November 3rd (certain activities are only available from Friday to Sunday)!

Dinosaur World Jurassic Haunt: The Curse Unearthed

Ready to explore a prehistoric Halloween? Dinosaur World in Plant City brings the Jurassic Haunt: The Curse Unearthed, where dinosaurs meet Halloween thrills. Walk among life-size dinosaurs and enjoy spooky fun for the whole family. With trick-or-treat stations, Halloween games, and interactive experiences, this is a unique way to celebrate the season, combining educational fun with a dash of Halloween spookiness. This event is $15 and is running for the next two weekends!

Winter Garden's Halloween Experience

If you're looking for a charming local event, Winter Garden’s Halloween Experience offers a more relaxed, community-oriented celebration. This event features trick-or-treating in the historic downtown area, fall photo ops, and fun activities for all ages. It’s the perfect way to spend a crisp October evening soaking in the small-town Halloween charm. This free event starts from October 18-31!

Gatorland’s Gators, Ghosts & Goblins

If you're up for a truly unique Halloween experience, Gatorland’s Gators, Ghosts & Goblins offers a spooky twist on classic Florida fun! This event has live shows, themed characters, spooky trails, and many gators. While I haven’t had a chance to attend, it’s definitely on my list this year. It’s a family-friendly event with plenty of scares and laughs, perfect for kids and adults alike. You can even explore themed areas like Swamp Ghost’s Monster Museum and enjoy ghoulish gator shows! This event is on select dates including October 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th, 10 am to 5 pm and included in your admission!

Pumpkin Patches Galore for Central Florida Halloween

No Halloween season is complete without a trip to a pumpkin patch! Central Florida has numerous pumpkin patches that are perfect for finding the ideal pumpkin to carve or decorate. Some popular spots include The Painted Oaks Academy Pumpkin Patch in Orlando and Southern Hill Farms in Clermont, where you can pick pumpkins, enjoy hayrides, and indulge in seasonal treats. These patches are great for family photo ops and getting into the autumn spirit.

Wrap Up

Central Florida offers various Halloween events that cater to every type of celebrant—from family-friendly fun to heart-pounding scares. Whether you're planning for next year's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, braving Halloween Horror Nights, or exploring local favorites like SEALIFE Orlando’s Pirates of the Haunted Seas and Gatorland’s Gators, Ghosts & Goblins, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate this spooky season.
